Coventry back at the Ricoh
|
Great to see their turn out.
From 3k fans at home to a possible 28k now they are back where they belong.
Good luck to them.

i went to highflied road back in that day when i were a lad, well, a youth. I think the pub was actually called the Highfield Arms? Anyays they used to have one bar which was home, one which was away....you can imagine how that ended. ...next thing i know im rolling around with a coventry fan underneath a police horse with the OB on the horse trying to batter us with his truncheon from both sides.
i do miss those days...

normannomates - to be fair, I was with a couple of blokes who would have roared straight into them and not given a fuck.
The problem was, as soppy as they were, that they actually thought they were actually about to be ambushed by a huge West Ham mob.
That was the ICF reputation.

Coventry away was always a top day out. In fact, was my favourite day out until they knocked over the away pub.

I went to Coventry one year with a couple of blokes from the old boys ICF. We got pissed and lost and got followed us for ages by the Coventry mob. If you ever read the books and wonder how hard the ICF were. There was 7 of us and about 50 of them and they just walked behind us all the way to the ground. And yes we were all shitting a brick....................

I've got a lot of Cov mates. All good blokes and passionate about their team. They've got mixed feelings about tonight because the underlying problems haven't gone away

Despite any rivalry in football, it is good to see football fans being able to support their local team .... In the local stadium
